Hello.
I’m Kate, a fully qualified OCN Level 6 Sleep Consultant, but more importantly than that, I’m Mum to two little girls and I live with my husband in the beautiful Surrey Hills.
I was born in a village just outside Guildford, then moved to London for 15 years after graduating from Bath University. After a successful career in Travel and Media, and following the birth of my second child in West London, I moved back to Surrey to raise my family.
I had a natural passion for understanding baby sleep and how we can make small changes even from a young age. It helped my own mental health and ability to cope with things during the day. This then led me to be able to enjoy the time with my baby and engage in activities and getting out during the day where I could!
I’ve been there, I’ve done it and can relate so much to how sleep deprivation is one of the toughest things that comes with being a parent, especially a new parent. It is about working together to support you on your own individual situation. I look forward to helping you x

"I felt overwhelmed with the amount of new information you are given as a new parent.
So much of it relates to health, nappies and breastfeeding, which is all useful, but what about sleep? What about the part we spend half of our 24 hour day doing?"

Who can I help as a Sleep Coach?
In theory, any fully qualified sleep consultant can help any family with their childs sleep, but as with anything, it’s important that you feel confident and comfortable with the sleep consultant that you choose. In order to help you decide which sleep consultant to choose to help you, here’s what I’ve had first-hand experience of, as that may be of benefit to you in your decision.
I was born in Surrey, attended university and then worked for large blue-chip organisations in London. I spent many years working in the travel industry, before then moving to The Times and The Sunday Times to lead part of their travel team.
When I became pregnant with my first child, I struggled with the decision that I had to make regarding the length of my maternity leave. In the end, I left my job, and ended up falling pregnant quite soon after with my second daughter. I felt all sort of emotions surrounding mother guild and loss of identity, but threw myself into motherhood, with sleep being one of the first things that I focused on.
I understand how difficult it is for career-parents at the best of times, so for those mums and dads who are juggling busy careers, young families and perhaps have wider families living far away, I totally understand..... and I can help x
What you can expect
I imagine that up until this point you haven’t sought the help of a sleep consultant, so it’s probably beneficial for me to briefly outline what you can expect. We can of course talk about this in more detail if you decide that you like me to help you as your chosen sleep consultant.
If you would like to have an initial conversation, the first thing that we’ll do is have a brief 15 minute call where we can introduce ourselves. I’ll ask you to briefly explain where you’re at, and I’ll explain a little more about myself and how I can help as a sleep consultant.
You’ll then complete a 3-day sleep diary, bringing to life ‘a day in the life of’ for 3 days. This is a really important document for me as it enables me to understand your children a little better, which is very important as I undertake a holistic approach (I explain my holistic sleep consultant approach here).
We’ll then have a sleep consultation meeting for 60 mins whereby we’ll discuss everything I’ve analysed so far, and where we’ll go into more detail into you and your family’s situation. I’ll then have a good understanding of your specific situation which will enable me to give you actionable steps to take in order to help your child sleep.
Following the sleep consultation meeting, I’ll draft a detailed Sleep Action Plan for your child which will outline steps you can take in order to assist your child in getting the higher quality sleep that they deserve.
Depending on the consultation option that you choose, I will then be available for follow-up support should you choose it.
